APPLICATION FOR SCHOLARSHIP
The Providence Chapter of Chums Inc. is looking for college bound seniors from Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts who are of African American or black descent and a United States citizen graduating from High school, Charter school or Trade school.
In keeping with our National Theme "Listen to the children...enrich their lives", our scholarship seeks to honor the memory of Constance Edmonds, a founding member and first President of the Providence Chapter Of Chums, Inc., by supporting students who have demonstrated excellent academic achievement, touched or enriched the lives of others through community service and can exhibit financial need.
To apply for scholarship consideration, we much receive your completed Application for Scholarship, Teacher Recommendation, and Parent or Guardian Approval forms.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR SCHOOL PRINCIPALS, GUIDANCE COUNSELORS, AND/OR TEACHERS
The application deadline for our Constance Edmonds Scholarship is April 30, 2025.
You must have a parent(s) or guardian(s) signed approval to apply.
Scholarship information is available for download using the links above and will be distributed to area schools, so check with your guidance counselor.
The following information MUST be submitted with your application, or your application will not be considered:
An original transcript of your most current grades AND three letters of recommendation from any combination of the following: teacher, guidance counselor, school administrator, social worker or community leader.
An essay min. 250-500 max. words describing and MUST include the following topics: (a)your career goals, (b) how your career choice will impact your community and (c) your community services.
A brief statement on your financial need and indicate any special circumstances concerning your need.
