The Providence Chapter of Chums Inc. continues to award scholarships, up to $2,000 to college bound seniors from Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts who are of African American or black descent and a United States citizen graduating from High school, Charter school or Trade school.
Our scholarship seeks to honor the memory of Constance Edmonds, a founding member and first President of the Providence Chapter Of Chums, Inc., by supporting students who have demonstrated excellent academic achievement, touched or enriched the lives of others through community service and can exhibit financial need.
The application deadline for our Constance Edmonds Scholarship is April 30th of each year. Please note you must have a parent(s) or guardian(s) signed approval to apply.
Scholarship information will be distributed to area schools and become available for download on our site between January 31st and February 15th.
We would like to help you reach your educational goals. As we continue our mission of "listen to the children ... enrich their lives" we encourage you to apply.
